Ongoing
Freelance artist
As an ongoing project during my free time, I
have made it my personal goal to jump at any
reason to create artwork, whether money is
involved, or not. I’ve done everything from
logos, to digital painting, to conceptualizing
characters that friends have created, and I’ve
also done commission work in the past. In one
of my most recent personal projects, I’ve been
working on a nightmarish illustrated novel in
the hopes of getting my art more widely
recognized through publishing.
Oct 2009 – Dec 2009 Evans
Ave. Denver, CO
Contract Artist
Evans Avenue is the name for a side project I
was working on for two people in the Denver area
who were trying to break into the home décor
business. This involved creating humorous,
highly stylized retro art in Adobe Illustrator.
Oct 2005 – Nov 2008 Blizzard
Entertainment Irvine, CA
QA Analyst
During my time as a tester at Blizzard, I’ve
shipped two titles (Burning Crusade and Wrath of
the Lich King), as well as worked on other
projects during my time there. One of the most
enjoyable side projects at Blizzard that I did
just before I left was for QA Engineering’s Logo
contest. It was off-hours, and I wasn’t paid
for it, but it’s was an opportunity for me to do
what I love (and yes, my logo won).
2003 - 2005
Storm Writers Canyon Country, CA
Character Designer
This was my college internship which involved
creating character, weapon, and armor concept
sketches for two (pen & paper) RPGs. I would
also communicate with the writers and my fellow
artists at group meetings to keep myself updated
on changes in lore to keep the visuals up to
date. This unfortunately never made it to
publishing stages, despite its
potential.
